上月29日，韩国政府方面公布西南地区半导体特大项目规划，三星电子与SK海力士将合计投资800万亿韩元，在光州机场地块各建设2座先进半导体晶圆厂，总共4座。

政府与特别市计划同步推进军用机场搬迁、产业园区建设、水电供应配套搭建及相关审批流程，目标在2030年实现首批产品量产。后续各企业的具体投资规模、动工时间、晶圆厂布局等细节，将由政府、企业与特别市进一步协商后确定。
